Where determinism actually matters in a test system
Windows-based acquisition drifts and control loops miss deadlines when the asset under test does not wait. This note separates the parts of a rig that genuinely need deterministic execution — closed-loop control, interlocks, high-rate acquisition — from the parts that are better hosted on an operator workstation, and covers the safety and interlock layer that should stay independent of host software.
